In today’s fast-paced, tech-driven world, it’s easy to default to digital communication like emails, instant messages, video calls. But while technology keeps us connected, it can’t replicate the energy of a room full of people sharing ideas, laughing, and building genuine relationships.
We asked our team how they really feel about support and communication. From this we learnt that 96% feel more supported during busy periods when working with a strong team or empathetic manager, and 92% told us that clear communication from management is essential for feeling included and valued.
So, in August, the TRO Staffing team hosted a Meet & Greet in central London – a celebration of our people and a chance to reconnect face-to-face.
This wasn’t just about having another recruitment event, it was a living example of our “Humans First” philosophy, our belief that staffing should be built on connection, not just credentials. At TRO, we don’t just review CVs; we build relationships. We meet people where they are, listen to their stories, and create space for real conversations, setting us apart.
The day itself was relaxed, welcoming, and full of energy. Guests joined us for lunch and informal chats with our Staffing team and experienced Event Managers. There was no pressure and no formal interviews, it was just a chance to ask questions, share experiences, and get a true feel for the TRO family. We rounded things off with games and challenges designed to showcase skills in a fun, low-pressure way, creating a real sense of camaraderie.
But the real takeaway was the validation and hearing that it works. It builds trust, encourages openness, and helps us see the whole person behind the application. It’s why we’re committed to rolling out Meet & Greets across the UK, creating more opportunities to connect with potential TROers in person and keep our talent pool vibrant, inclusive, and up to date.
We’re not just building a workforce, we’re building a community, and that’s reflected in how our people describe us. In a recent survey, TRO staff described our culture as “supportive,” “responsive,” “encouraging,” and “more of a family feel than other staffing agencies.” They highlighted our “good communication,” “cooperative spirit,” and the way we “value our staff.” It’s a culture that’s creative, inclusive, and people‑focused – ideal for those drawn to experiential marketing and brand activations.
As we look ahead to Q4, our goal remains simple and that’s to keep human connection at the heart of everything we do. We’re already planning our next round of Meet & Greets, and we genuinely can’t wait to meet the people behind the phone calls. Because when people feel seen, heard, and valued, they thrive! We’re all about real connection, real conversations, and a culture that puts people first. It’s what makes us different, and it’s exactly (queue TRO showreel) why we do what we do.
